New Zealand’s first surf life saving club to patrol since 1910.
Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club provide volunteer patrols at Lyall Bay Beach on Saturday and Sunday from November through to March.
We have a large active membership of junior and senior members, offering competitive training squads for surf sports and general fitness.

Lifeguarding
Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club provides volunteer lifesaving patrols at Lyall Bay every weekend over the summer months.
We also train new lifeguards with the skills to help save lives on our beach.

Junior Surf Sports
Our junior surf sports program runs during the summer months, with options for kids to get involved from 6 months through to 14 years.
Our junior surf program is all about teaching kids water safety and surf skills while having fun and keeping fit.

Senior Surf Sports
Surf Sport provide surf lifeguards with the opportunity to hone their rescue abilities and maintain their fitness.
We run sports programs for all surf life saving disciplines, include surf swimming, knee boarding, surf ski, iron man, surf boat rowing and surf canoes.
